txcouple
We are looking at three diffrent trips right now.Cost are all around the same,so thats not the issue. We are looking at a 7 night carnival from galveston to Jamaica,Grand Cayman,Cozemel on the Conquest. Also looking @ a 7 nighton the GrandPrincess Galveston to Costa Maya,Roatan,Beleize,Cozomel. And lastly , the Royal Caribbean 7 night on the Rhapsoty of th sea galveston to Key West to Grand Cayman to Cozomel. we are in our early 30s and want as close to that age group as possible(just for the nightlife on the ship, disco, casino, dancing, etc). Ive heard bad thing about the beds in some and food better on other and Im just plain confused on which would be the best trip. I know the carnival used to have a topless deck, but stoped it this week.Do any of the other have one?How about on the excursions in any of those places, any for some adult(topless kinda fun). Not that that is going to make a big difference, its just fun to be able to cut loose on vacation. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks Don And Becky

Gregswife
txcouple, Welcome to the forum. All of our cruises have been on Carnival, so I can really only address that one. They have a new bedding system called the Carnival Comfort bed. I have not sailed since these have been installed on all ships, but hear wonderful things about them. Our agent at Carnival said that we will be getting a "real" king sized bed. The two twins are put together and the top mattresses removed and replaced with a king size Carnival Comfort mattress. We will be sailing on the Conquest next, with the same itinerary that you mentioned. Carnival, being touted as "The Fun Ships" will have a large amount of the age demographic that you mentioned. As I have not been on Princess or RCL I can't speak of their average passenger age. Please keep us posted as to what you decide - whichever it is, I have no doubt that you will have a wonderful time. Peddler
Well here goes,.... We've been on Rhapsody for both the Key West, and Ocho Rios itineraries and liked the Ocho Rios better due to the two days at sea. Don't get me wrong, both were great. The Rhapsody is one of the friendlist ships afloat. We've never been on the Conquest, although my sister has and prefers the Rhapsody. Personal preference I'm sure. Gregswife
Don and Becky - the original reason we went on Carnival - 12 yrs ago - was because they offered the best price along with great kids programs. The kids are grown and on their own now, but we find we can get a better deal on a balcony stateroom on Carnival, than we can on the other lines. Others may have different experiences but Carnival has always been the best bang for the buck. I guess it all depends of what you are looking for.... txSherry
Hi and welcome! I can't tell you which and what, because we've never cruised either. Our first is the Carnival Conquest 7day leaving in July. We're looking for a bit different experience -- more family atmosphere than party. with a ship that big, though, I can bet there's opportunity for both kinds of experiences. Good luck deciding, and let us know what you do decide.

KeithnRita
txcouple, Welcome to CruiseCrazies! Having cruised all three lines mentioned, and having cruised from Galveston (Rhapsody), you really can't make a bad decision, as they are all good!
