sewut51
Can anyone tell me how the pier in Cozumel is coming along? Do you still have to tender in? Anyone know when it will be done? Sewut
Gregswife
Sewut, can't help you with that - even though I will say, I hope the pier is done or will be in the near future as our next cruise includes a stop there. I just wanted to say how good it was to see you posting again. You have been missed around here. Hope you are back to stay!!!
Peddler
I'm sure someone has been there since we were there, but in Oct 06, both the Conquest and Rhapsody docked. The Conquest was at the downtown pier and the Rhapsody was at the International pier. It appeared the work was underway on the International pier to return it to the former status, and barges were stationed at the Puerto Maya pier to begin work. I hope this helps. The Conquest docked downtown, taken from International pier. The International Pier (A) The International Pier (B)

sewut51
Thanks for missing me, Cheryl, we have 3 grandchildren living with us right now. It's been almost a year since they came for a 2 week vacation, and they're still here! and we're homeschooling them to boot! Yes, it was hurricane damage. We're planning on a cruise in December on the Facination, and hope to dock and not have to tender. Sewut
SCIROCCO
The Rhapsody was the last Ship to dock there before Wilma in 2005! We were on it and were docked there for a day and then had to run for Florida and wound up in Tampa Bay, Florida at a Industrial Pier! But thats sailing in Hurricane season Carnival has dibs on the International pier since the Damaged one belongs to them and they have the Biggest Investment in Shops and The City Piers, thats what we were told the reason no other Ships get to Dock there, Correct me if Ive been misinformed My Friends! sailingrose
When we were there Carnival docked in "town. They have a new pier there. The old Carnival pier is totally gone. KCCruzr
We were there in January 2006 on RCI and had to be tendered. There was so much damage to the entire area that most excursions were cancelled. We were pretty disappointed that RCI did not route to another port but had a good time anyway. It was not our first cruise so we had been to Cozumel before the destruction. Kim
