  1. No cell, no internet, no booze, no dancing, no casino, no Las Vegas style shows...but we have a great time.
  2. Hi, my hubby and I will be cruising on the Magic with you. We're driving down to Galveston from Kansas. This is our 12th cruise.

  3. So far we've done Baja Mexico and the Caribbean. We really want to do Panama Canal because my husband is an engineer. We'd like to do Alaska because we lived there and our son lives there. We'd like to go back to Kodiak to see how it's changed. We'd like to cruise to Hawaii and then cruise back. Sewut
  4. I just read these posts to my husband and he's rolling his eyes. Meanwhile, my four grandchildren are here dancing to it. (I've got it playing in the background. I've changed the words in the last line, though. It's now "together again we'll go sailing". Don't you like that better? Sewut
  5. I've been humming it for days! Now I know the words and can sing it. My 4 year old grand daughter grins when I do and says, "That's a cruise song!" We're taking her on her first cruise in December. Sewut
  6. I can't stop humming the old Carnival commercial song. Somewhere, beyond the sea, somewhere, waiting for me... I want a tape or something of that song. Anyone know where I can get one? Sewut
  7. Last September, on the Ecstacy, we purchased 3 cards for $20 and I won $110! Not bad. I guess people win bigger in the casino, but it paid my tips for the cruise. Sewut
  8. Where's the line to sign up? Sewut
  9. Yeah Mon! We wore sneaker-type watershoes, and I wore board shorts over my swimsuit. No problem, Mon! Sewut
  10. Uh, lemmee guess, alchohol was involved. Sewut
  11. Thanks John, Great site. Sewut
  12. Oops. I didn't give enough information. The ship is the Disney Magic and the stateroom has a navigator's verandah. It is an enclosed (?) balcony. We don't want to sleep out there, just want to know how many in the room? There are six of us, Grammy, Papa, Mommy, Daddy, 5 yr. old boy, 3 yr. old girl. Sewut
  13. Can anyone tell me what a navigator's verandah is like on the Disney Magic? Pictures, descriptions? How many does it sleep? We have connecting cabins, do the verandahs connect? Sewut
  14. I can't stand it. I have to tell someone who understands. My daughter called and she has booked us a cruise on the Disney Magic for September 2008. We are already booked on the Fascination for December. I have TWO cruises booked. I know a lot of you do that all the time, but it's exciting for me. Too bad they are both so far away. I'm thinking of the December one as a pregnancy since we booked it at nine months. lol Ladies, you know how long that can seem to be. Sewut
  15. I've got packing down to a science. I have detailed lists stored on my computer, one for cruising, one for camping, one for quilt retreats (going on one the day after tomorrow), one for traveling with kids, roadtrip add ons, you name it. Then all I have to do is print off my list and pack it. Have a great time on your trip. Sewut
  16. Okay. I didn't want to lug them around anyway. Thanks.
  17. We will be in Cozumel and hope to do the beach at the park while my daughter and son in law do the dolphins. Do you have to have carseats in Coz? I can't imagine hauling them all around with us. What do other parents do? Sewut
  18. Last September, on the Ecstacy, a family at our table separated in Cozumel. The two young men, early twenties, didn't meet up with their parents who were waiting where you first show your sail & sign card to get on the dock. Turns out, they were already on the dock waiting where you board the tender. They all waited until the last tender, when the boys jumped on and went to the ship. Meanwhile, Mom and Dad were freaking out. They called the ship and, since the boys were still tendering in, they said they were not aboard. Now Mom & Dad are frantic and they have missed the last tender! They waited until the ship reported the boys aboard and got a ride to the ship with the guy who guides the ship out of port. The boys were late for dinner and Mom & Dad were hot. I guess you should be very specific on your meeting place if you split up ashore. sewut
  19. Our daughter, husband and 4 and 2 year old kids booked on the Fascination. We cashed in 50,000 Seamiles and are going with them. It cost us $61.00 apiece using senior discount and past guest priviliges. We are taking our 5 year old grand daughter that lives with us along too. We have to pay for her. We have an oceanview on Empress deck. We're going to do Disney World while we are there. I guess we'll just skip Christmas this year. lol
  20. Thanks for missing me, Cheryl, we have 3 grandchildren living with us right now. It's been almost a year since they came for a 2 week vacation, and they're still here! and we're homeschooling them to boot! Yes, it was hurricane damage. We're planning on a cruise in December on the Facination, and hope to dock and not have to tender. Sewut
  21. Can anyone tell me how the pier in Cozumel is coming along? Do you still have to tender in? Anyone know when it will be done? Sewut
