    I for one would like to see live feed from the ships. Especially from the ship you have presently booked.

    So far we have enjoyed the mid class ships but will be going on the Star Princess in December which is suppose to be bigger. As to what category of ship we like we have determined that we will not book a ship that does not have an aft deck to watch the wake. I have been doing some research and there are very few. Princess is our best option right now.

    I agree with the others no value. There are many beautiful places to see on land as well. DH was just talking about a land trip in 2 years when he retires. He would like to travel around the US seeing all the most famous National Parks, camping as much as we can along the way.

    We were on the Sea Princess (Princess Line) last December and due to high winds we could not dock at St. Kitts. We were reimbursed for the port fees automatically on our bill the next day. I'm sure no matter what line it is you could get the port fee back no matter what they call ...just by asking if they don't automatically reimburse you for it. It is enough for atleast acouple of drinks.

    We get excited the day we book and the anticipation builds and lasts all year. We plan ....talk about it....buy new clothes (when needed). We spread the word how great cruising is.....share our photos.....well needless to say we love cruising and can't wait until we have more time to go more often :grin:

    Although it states right in your DOCS that they can change your itinerary they could have been more diplomatic about the situation and offered a goodwill credit to each cabin. I think they would have eased peoples minds to explain to them about the hurricane...if they didn't. I think most people would be grateful to be kept out of harms way, atleast I would have. My two cents worth :smiley:

    Signing a contract with them for future cruises seems to be a lure to me. They may give you $200 off the first cruise but then add it on the others? Plus do they give you a time frame as to when you need to book the others by? Be careful!

    During our last cruise a lady at our table ordered a special menu everynight. They brought her a separate menu to pre-order for the next night. She mostly ate soup, salad and fruit plate, very plain stuff, but she seemed to be happy.

    I love it all but stepping on the ship for the first time .....entering our cabin....and then sail away.....and then our first evening meal to see who is going to dine with us....It's all good.

    If you decide to do the railroad the food is expensive on board.
