  1. The brand new £500-million cruise ship, the Celebrity Eclipse, is due to leave Southampton tonight for Bilbao, Spain to pick up around 2,000 British tourists at the port. We are booked on the pre-inaugural as well as the inaugural (B2B) ... but these lucky people will be on the ship before us ... for free!!
  2. Question: Was the safe open at any time before the charges were made? The person would have had to get the information and transmit it somewhere to use.
  3. I know she made it on a post New Years Cruise on the Summitt....
  4. Maybe you can buy Crazy the cruise bear another outfit.
  5. Well so much for being a smart ass in posting to you. My wife passed away 2 years ago. We cruised extensively and she loved it. I still had the cruise bug but it's going away a bit. I have gone two times since then. I have a good idea what your going through. The first 6 months were the pits - sat in the basement while not at work playing computer games. But it does get better. or so I hope.

  6. Where in NY? City? If you get a chance join the discussion on Survivor in General Discussion.

  7. Andreas: How often are new builds coming out of the ship yard? Is that their only build area?
  8. Well where does that leave you being on this board????
  9. I Have fallen many times on ships..... Drinking to excess was never in any of the accident reports.
  10. There is a tent covering when you pull up at the pier. This is seperate from the main building. There should be no problem with the pick up or drop off. There may be a short wait to clear some drop off cars out of the area. Yes. There is a building to wait in - inside - then they shuttle bus you to the ship. As far as I know there is no building being built as a permanant place for the lines to use. Even though they do have a long term lease to use the facility. Maybe RCCL and the port or facility owner are working on who pays for what.
  11. Thanks for joining. Hit the sites. Share your knowledge and unique expirences.

If none - do what I do. Make it up as you go along.

  12. Maybe a trans canal cruise would be nice. Upscale - small ship Azamara Journey - December Middle - larger ship - Radiance of the Seas - September Noregian Star - December / January Medium Ship - Mercury - October And on and on..... You can go to a trave site like Orbitz and just put in Panama Canal and find then cruises. Why... Canal is spectacular - they have a train ride to show it all and you can also cruise through. Starts in west and goes through to east or reverse. The extended cruise length takes kids out of the picture
  13. I wonder where the passangers were when the wave hit?
  14. Say you wanted to go in May of this year - from Florida Royal Caribbean has 4 and 5 day cruises from Ft. Lauderdale. Carnival has 4 and 5 night cruises from Miami. Celebrity has 5 night cruises from Miami. Holland America has 4 day cruises on the Pacific from Sand Diego to Vancouver. Princess has a 3 or 4 or 5 day cruise from LA to Vancouver
  15. Well from what you say... 1 - Balcony stateroom. 2 - Ship built from 1986 on. 3 - Caribbean / Mexican Rivera 4 - Same as you may not want to fly all that far. 5 - Most cruises are 3 / 4 / 5 / 7 days. So..... Where would be best to depart from - West Coast or Florida. What time of the year would you like to cruise.
  16. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..............................................Someon e had to winnnnn.....
  17. I would get the balcony for the Mexican Riveria. Alaska you will be out and about the ship and will be drawn to the rail to see most of the time.
  18. I wonder..... If Crazy got lost at sea we would get her back?????i
  19. Guess their hulls are magnatized.....
  20. Sounds like NCL stears you to the specialty resturants. They pick up the extra $$ for it. Maybe next time some other cruise where food is good in MDR.
  21. I wonder if that will delay their arrival back in port to change over and what that means for the next cruise. Someone's in big trouble for that - most likely the harbor pilot and the captain.
  22. Yes. It does go a long way. Just about everyone seems to like it.
  23. I try to cover everything on the cruise - the complete ship / all services / Ship condition / food / what the ports are / what I did in all areas. I try to put in every positive think that i saw or did on the trip. I would say the incident on the front desk with being verbally ping ponged by officers - who should know better - as the killer. Usually the food is like 98 out of 100. This time food was about 70 of 100. Service was 99 out of 100. The problem being was I had see the one offices about twice before - leaving ship. And they had a bomb scare on the ship - well handled by ship. So I went down and dropped off a large amount of candy to same officer for security to show how much I appreciated their hard work. Then later to be treated like that by the same person..... Back breaker. Then anytime he walked past me on ship - dirty looks or I am better than you buddy.... I don't need that. I never and I mean NEVER try to create any extra work for anoyne on the ship and always try to bring something special to my trip each time. The Kite I left with the kids counslers along with some burger king crowns (I always try to bring this along). I also left them some candy as they have a very hard schedule on ship. Week to week kids non stop for most of the time. I have had just about a 98% approval rating for every other Celebrity cruise I have been on. This would be about 72% or lower.
  24. I really do not care if Celebrity get's back to me on it.
