  2. if i am winning its the roulette table if i am losing its the nickle slots LOL
  3. never had to use. only thing i have used is the iron when one of my dresses got overly wrinkled.
  4. as its just me and 11 yr old son i choose and he goes along LOL
  5. if we are part of a group we like to do the private or on our own excursions. however, when its just me and my son i will use the cruise line excursions just for the peace of mind.
  6. sounds interesting but would have to see as the company i work for has, at least for this year, mandated vacations be taken prior to Oct 31.
  7. my son loves having pictures taken so i usually let him pose but i take one with my camera as well if i can. we buy a few but i hate having my picture taken so. have like 3 or 4 thousand pictures that i have taken over the years and only have a handfull of me thats what i look like in pics LOL
  8. have to agree with mrsamanda-- would not do alaska -- i no like cold.
  9. i would and have gone alone(or with just my son) on excursions. its not worth dragging someone along that does not want to go and ruin your day.
  10. nope not set on that cruise but was just surprised. i see other ships do not have them. well i will just keep looking at the different options.
  11. was looking at celebration to do cruise on but web site only shows inside, outside and cat 12 suites. are there no balcony? went on celebration on 2001 but we had inside then but i cannot remember. thanks
  12. i cruise alone-- or as alone as i can with my 10 yr old son along. we both love to cruise and now that we are thinking of moving to florida we hope to do a bit more of cruising. (but that is for another post)
  13. i am in kingsville just south of corpus christi (CC). the port at CC is not deep enough to handle a cruise ship. as for NAS ingelside its been thrown around for some time but be about 4 or 5 yrs before government gives it back to community if they do. i keep hoping they move in closer but as of now no such luck.
  14. decided i needed something to look forward to so i went crazy and booked a cruise. march 16, 2008 on carnival pride i am so happy now i need to go do county thingy --- see if i remember how.
  15. i have also only cruised on carnival. was thinking of going with another line but was not really "worth" paying about 300 more per person for 8 day cruise instead of 7 day. so far we have been very happy with carnival and unless the price is comparative i do not think i would change.
  16. our first cruise was oct 2001 on the celebration and for a while there i thought we might not go as it was so close after 9-11. family and friends kept telling us to cancel and i told them i was going and the only way i was not going was if cruise line canceled. now the reason to try a cruise was that i grew up with very little-- we did not travel, no theme parks etc. i was 19 or 20 when my hubby took me to astroworld and that was the first time i had done anything like that. after i had my son i decided i was going to do everything and take him with me-- had him flying in an airplane at about 18 months. did the train cross county when he was 3, 4, and 5, went on a very short bus ride so then i decided it was too soon to do an international destination so i chose a cruise as my son was 5 in 01. now he is 10 and had been on 3 cruises. we still take other vacations but i love cruising and do not plan to give it up.
  17. my very first cruise i went thru carnival directly and was very pleased with them. they next 2 cruises were group cruises and we used 2 different travel agents one online and one not. both were also good. not sure on next cruise which route i will go as i have not decided yet what cruise line to use. i do my own airfare and always fly in the day before if i have to fly. i look online (then call the hotel itself) for a hotel that has shuttle to and from airport and port. i have only cruised out of galveston (drove there) and tampa but before we board we buy the shuttle tickets back to airport.
  18. coffee mug and i try and get it first day on ship so i can use it as they are usually bigger than cups onboard
  19. congrats at least you won something.
  20. congrats at least you won something.
  21. that is what makes everyday a great day --- to be on the cruisecrazies cruise ship
  22. robert i thought i was the only one with a "scum" job. now back to the question what i hate the most i guess would be having the cruise come to an end--- it always seems too short a time.
  23. bigred--- you are correct with the Miami Vice-- i do not drink other than when i am on a cruise and i always have to have one or 2 of them. i always have to have the chocolate smelting(?) desert that has the hot filling. on the last cruise our waiter would bring us his choice as well as the chocolate as he knew we would want both. yes we were bad, but we do not eat desserts like that here everyday so i enjoy.
  24. my first two cruises we did not get insurance but since then my dads health as gone down hill and now my aunt is starting to travel with me is also not in best of health we have started to buy insurance just on the off chance that something happens to either one of them. seems a small price to pay for piece of mind.
