  1. Can't wait to hear every detail. Have a tremendous vacation
  2. Diet is a four letter word. With that being said, adopting a healthy lifestyle that is sustainable is something that will work. I have been told that it takes up to 15 days (after eliminating some food type) for the craving to go away. (not so for me but that's another story). And, I have been told that it takes up to 6 weeks before a change becomes a permanent thing. One of the main reasons why we fail to sustain a lifestyle change is because we don't see (or feel) instant gratification. As a personal trainer, I always found myself motivating my clients to keep working out. I reminded them why they sought me out in the first place. Compared where they were to where they are. Oh how quickly we think change can happen. Dr. Dean Ornish gave a great lecture at work a few months back. He said that we need to evaluate why we are on so many pills and then evaluate the level of change that we are willing to take to get off of the pills (and stay off). He wrote a book (can't for the life of my think of the name), but it has 5 different levels of life style changes. My thought is that if we think about what we want, be realistic about how we are going to get to that 'want', then we are well on the way to being healthy beings. As for vacation, isn't that supposed to be about spoiling ourselves???
  3. As I have stated in other posts, none of the 'events' will keep us from cruising. I'm glad the survey confirms what us Cruise Crazies believe.
  4. Fantastic news as both ports are SW airline stops (from Tucson). Guess we'll be studying these itineraries on our Sept cruise.
  5. Sounds like an amazing ship. Would love to hear about where you went
  6. Gotta love Celebrity. Thanks for such a great review. I am so jealous of a 37 day back to back. Maybe one of these days ....
  7. Great review. Thanks for the honest excursion opinions. Sorry you got sick!
  8. Congrats. Can't wait to hear about the ship and the itinerary
  9. Great advice. I did this for the first time to SW airlines on our flight from Las Vegas to Philly. I got a complete answer, etc., etc. Never thought to do it for a cruise because I always fill out the survey. But I will from now on, thanks ...
  10. I remember the first time we were in Cabo San Lucas (in port for less than 5 hours) and we all commented as to how we had to come back and do such and such. Fast forward: We have been back to Cabo a number of times (too many to count) and for the life of me, I cannot remember what it was that we didn't get to do or see that we talked about back in the 90's. One of the reasons we "repeat" port visits is because there is so much to take in. Gotta love the opportunity to visit these exotic places.
  11. Love the get-aways. Thanks for the honest review. Jerry and I are finding that the casino staff is very nice every time that they take our money - ha!
  12. Great article. We always see crew members shopping. In Hawaii, ABC stores give out "points" for dollars that you spend. We gave our points to a crew member who was thrilled. He was able to use them for souveniors for his family members. I truly think that without them, he would not have spent as much money in the store.
  13. I have a hard time paying for food at an "all-inclusive", but I can see the draw
  14. We love Eden Rock. I stay closer to the shore line and always see octopus, shrimp, lobster and beautiful fish. Jerry adventures out further and sees hammerhead sharks, eels, etc.
  15. Saw this on yesterday's news. If I lived closer, I would be taking advantage of the give away prices! We booked the Splendor shortly after she returned back from her disaster. It was an incredible "last minute" cruise.
  16. Great advice. We always believe that if it's too good to be true, it is!
  17. But I do need to add: We have been on 2 NCL cruises where if the item was empty, the item was never refilled. We weren't happy about that.
  18. We haven't experienced horrible buffets at all. I agree that Celebrity knows how to feed you.
  19. I'd love to know the demographics of who was surveyed. I agree that it might be folks who only cruised once or never cruised. How come I'm never questioned??? The media makes a big fuss over the negative (not just with cruising incidents but with pretty much anything). One of these days I'd love to read a paper and only read wonderful events.
  20. Amazing answers! No wonder we all love to cruise
