    Andi not sure when you sail but we are on the Explorer on aug 30th for a ten day cruise. We might be on right before you. Jackie is retiring so I am getting her a gran suite for this cruise. We were on the Explorer in 2010. Congrats on your booking. Joe & Jackie

    Sounds like all had a good time. We will be on the explorer next year I have notice it is showing its age the last time we were on her. I never understood why RCCL doesn't change the Explorer with one other Voyager class ships that have a roof that can close over the pool. Since this ship does those fall cruises up north. Thanks for the review. Joe

    We always park at pier when driving to pier. When we get off the ship I don't want to wait for pickup. The money saved isn't worth it to me.

    Hey all u CruiseCrazies have a great cruise wish we could have made this one. Leaving tomorrow for out west so not sure if I will get online 4 awhile. Well maybe tomorrow for a time.

    Wow I am Jealous 41 cruises and never the same ship twice. We have been on the ship lots of times. Mostly because Jackie would just as soon not fly. so we leave from local ports.

    Agree totally with Marylou. You just feel uneasy there.

    It depends on the cruise line. If we go with RCCL we use their TA. We have used the same one for 8 maybe 9 cruises. Really goes the extra mile for us. Carnival, Princess we use a local ta. MSC we use a ta they recommend.

    It Depends on the port. If we leave from the northeast we usually visit NY City and take a show in. New Orleans for sure a post plan.

    On the last cruise I wore them on 1st nite. Luggage was real late arriving at my room. Otherwise never.

    yes lots of great friends. We always let each other know when cruising to see if we can join up again. It only happen once but we keep trying.

    Was it the packing lite video? I have been using that system for years. Keeps clothes from getting wrinkled. Great video I think if it is the same one it is packinglite.com

    I could care less what kind of room or location. In saying that Jackie loves having a balcony so we always get one. She finds Aft balcony her 1st choice.We usually book late so the Aft balcony is usually booked by the time we book..

    South Pacific Islands, society islands, bora bora, the island Brando owned. Any or all would be great. Hope to make this trip next year.

    Let us know we are looking at booking that cruise sometime after Jackie retires in Jun. We are looking at several cruises to south pacfic including Paul Gauguin.

    We had a family who would leave the balcony light on all night. (use it for a nite light for their children.) I like to sit out at nite with a glass of wine & enjoy the quiet evening. They refused to turn the light off went to service desk and it wasn't on the rest of the cruise. I guess not really a big deal Never had any real problem.

    no we have been lucky I guess. I always try and get a large table or a table for 2. The large table thinking is when you get a table for 4 you can be stuck with a couple you really don't want to be with but a larger table the chance of being with at least one nice couple increases. Joe

    Sorry to say as far as I know Mary Lou is right. You are better off to park at port and pay the high rate. We have sailed out of NY. many times and have always found that port parking was our best option.
