Help Needed please.

Hi there,

I will be leaving with my family on the Libery of the Seas for 8 nights in Feburary.

I have a question of curiousity.

I have been on RC Before but that was in 2004 and have been on Costa every years since and i know all cruise lines have different guildlines for formal nights.

I will be having 2 formal nights on this cruise and i would like to know. Would you recommend me taking a floor length gold dress that i have. i do have an above the knee tight red formal dress as well but i am debating taking 2 instead of wearing one twice. so i'm wondering is it common to see people in floor length dresses. I can post a photo on my profile of the dress if you need a visual.

Oh, I just found a different thread where you mentioned that Haiti is one of your stops. I haven't seen too many floor length dresses on Caribbean cruises, but if you really like that dress then take it. I think it's totally up to you.

We've just been on RCI to the Caribbean and I would have to say that there were about 30% long dresses and 70% short and pants outfits. So either would work.

If you love the dress wear it! I love to wear gowns on a cruise and you will not be alone.

I have done both on all of the Caribbean cruises. I tend to wear what makes me feel pretty. Our last cruise was a back-to-back. So that meant 4 formal nights. I wore the same 2 outfits. I didn't care. I will change my hair and my jewelry so I look different in the pictures.

We would say wear your long gown if it makes you happy. You will not be out of place. Rita likes and wears long gowns. She even found a new one in St Martin on our last cruise. :smile:
