  1. Welcome home! I am glad you had a super vacation... you deserve it. I look forward to hearing more when you're settled in.
  2. Welcome home, boba. Hope you enjoyed N. Majesty as much as I did. We rebooked for next summer... want to join us?
  3. Great photos, Lisa. It looks like you had a fabulous tour of "my" Boston. I love the photos of Saguenay Fjord, especially the one of the bridge wing. Thank you for bringing back very many happy memories of my favorite itinerary.
  4. Welcome back, Lisa! I was at the Boston cruise terminal the day you were on Enchantment of the Seas to check out a few ships in port. Enchantment looks beautiful... I can't wait to hear about her new interior section. I am so glad that we had gorgeous weather in Boston that day.

I am so excited for you. We enjoyed this cruise so much a couple of months ago that we rebooked for next year! You have given me a reason to finally get my review done in the next few days...
  6. For the three of us, we usually have one large suitcase and three smaller ones. We check all but one of the smaller suitcases. Each bag is packed in thirds -- in other words, no one has any claim to one bag. The one we carry on will contain the clothing that would be hard to replace during the cruise, such as my son's suit. For the others, I put outfits together, and distribute them among the bags.
  7. I saw that, too. I wish our travel plans were flexible.
  8. I am also selective about the cabin, and location is the main criterion. Cabins above or below a show lounge are out, as are those in a main traffic pattern, such as on the way to the casino, etc. I also avoid connecting cabins as I've found that noise travels through the door. (And that works both ways, as I don't want my son bothering our neighbors.) For our next cruise on Norwegian Majesty, I actually gave our TA a list of preferred cabins. There are several in our category that have partially obstructed views. I was willing to go up to 25% obstruction, yet she was able to get the last one with no obstruction.
  9. Congratulations, boba! We were just on Norwegian Majesty in August, and have booked again for next August. I'm happy to answer any questions.
  10. We finally decided on our summer 2006 cruise -- Norwegian Majesty to Bermuda. This is the same cruise we took last summer, and enjoyed it so much that we're returning. Anyone care to join us?
  11. Congratulations on your upcoming cruise. I'm jealous, too.... What a nice birthday present for David. I am also wondering if this is going to be a surprise.
  12. When is Chat usually held?
  13. We usually book our own air to save $ and time... yet, in this case I would book through the cruise line for the reasons you mention. Even if it costs more, it will be less legwork for you should your ship leave from a different port than intended. That alone would be worth it to me. JMHO.
  14. Congrats on the docs, and your short countdown!
  15. Gogetter, did you use a TA for the booking? If so, s/he may be able to help. I've found that cruise lines won't talk to booked pax directly if a TA was used. If all else fails, make the dining room your first stop to check your table assignment. If it's not what you want, then go to the maitre d to have it changed. You might have to change dining times, though. To answer your question about cross-referencing booking numbers to ensure a group sits together -- yes, that can be done, and often is. We are doing that right now, actually. Our cousins are joining us on Infinity, and they used a different TA than we did. Our TAs are taking care of it. All they asked for was the booking number of the other party, and it should be all set. We've done this before with no problems.
