  11. The best show I've seen on the high seas was on the Carnival Valor. Great dancers with many costume changes. Wish I knew the name of the show........
  12. Rose, thanks for sharing your pictures. They're great!
  13. This is an interesting thread. On our last cruise on the Summit we were invited to dine at the captain's table. Our 15 year old daughter who was traveling with us was not invited. We didn't expect her to be invited, but we asked her if it was okay if we went to dine at the captain's table. She was all for it and was happy having pizza for dinner!
  14. Great pictures Howard! My nephew was on the 6-14 sailing of the Crown. It was his honeymoon and we are still waiting to see his pics. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Congrats on your new booking! Must be a great feeling to receive the docs in the same day too!
  16. We like cruise Alaska again. The beauty of the Inside Passage is the clincher for us.
  17. We've still take land vacations, even though most are less than a week long. But I think that's going to change now as we want to spend more time at one destination. That means less cruises for us!
  18. We usually buy rum in the Caribbean, tequila in Mexico and canned salmon in Alaska. These items are not for us, but gifts for family and friends. For us, the "must buys" are the fridge magnets.
  19. Joey, I don't know why it's not working for you. Are you on dial up?
  20. Hi gang, we were on the April 9 Summit Hawaii cruise and had a great time. Here are some of the pics that we took. Turn on your speakers as there is music. Enjoy! http://photoshow.comcast.net/stargazing4fu...t_hawaii_part_1
  21. Whatever you do, do not sail during this Memorial Day weekend. My daughter with hundreds of other high school kids from various schools will be onboard for a music festival. They wanted us to chaperone, but we wanted no part of this possible nightmare. I feel sorry for unsuspecting cruisers though..................
  22. Overall, I would say Celebrity has HAL beat in food quality. In our recent HAL cruise, the desserts were horrible. And for the first time ever, my family actually made a complaint about the desserts. One plus for HAL though, I can say their soups are much better than Celebrity's.
  23. We leave for our Summit Hawaii cruise on April 8th and board the ship on the 9th. It has been a long wait, because we booked this cruise so long ago........ in Oct 04.
  24. Here is the link.............. http://www.portvancouver.com/vanAlaCruise/...edule/index.php?
  25. I really think cruise ships are getting too big. But on the other hand, I would like to experience this new 220,000 ton monster. Just wish this size ship would only hold 1/2 of it's 5400 passenger capacity. I would have no problem paying double if this was the case.
