Hi Crazies, we've just returned from our wonderful Thanksgiving cruise on the Oosterdam. This was our first time sailing with HAL and it was to the Mexican Riviera. Here are some pictures of our cruise. Enjoy! http://community.webshots.com/album/512252962EAfEyq

Great John, maybe we can finally meet some CruiseCrazies members! We haven't booked a hotel yet, but the Royal seems reasonable and centrally located. When our sail dates get closer, lets see if we can rendevous in Barcelona. Happy sailing!

JohnG, My family and I are booked on the 7/28/06 Nautica (Venice to Barcelona). It's the sailing before yours. We are planning to stay one night post cruise in Barcelona. Maybe we can hook up.

Cheryl, I wish a picture was taken of me swinging! I was the one on the opposite side of the camera lens! I left my family behind on this one and cruised with some friends. My daughter saw the zipline pictures and now she wants to do the same excursion. She's fearless!

Yes Shari, this was definitely a party cruise!

Thanks everyone for the sendoff! Had a great time on the cruise, even though I was just a little nervous about hurricane Wilma. I was part of a group sailing of another board (Valor Vampires-120 of us). We cruised the Western Caribbean (Grand Cayman, Belize, Costa Maya, Roatan Island). The Valor was beautiful, the food great and the final production show was the best I've even seen on a cruise ship. Here are some pictures of our cruise. http://community.webshots.com/album/499205790cLdkYf

What a shame that one of our favorite ports is seriously damage. We're scheduled to call in Cozumel next Friday on the Valor. Really don't see that happening though. Hope they rebuild asap and get the tourists back in there.

We aren't picky about the location or type of cabin we have for our cruises. For us, cost is the most important factor. We will even sleep on the open decks! Just get us on any cruiseship!

Hope everyone enjoyed the pictures! Thanks for the kind comments too!

Hi, when we booked the QM2 last year, we also read many negative reviews for the earlier sailings. But there was a reshuffle of the crew and management and we experienced probably our best cruise to date. Our itinerary was 14 nights Caribbean roundtrip from Ft Lauderdale. Ports were Tortola, St Thomas, St Kitts, Bonaire, Curacao, Barbados, Martinique and Dominica.

Capegirl, During welcome aboard show, the Captain introduced their own German, Spanish and Japanese hosts. Also mentioned was there were over 500 British cruisers on board. There were also many from other countries in Europe and South America. It seemed that the ship was at least half filled with non Americans. Highlights of our sailing included the tandem cruising with the QE2, fireworks show in Curacao, the excellent service in the Brittannia restaurant, the cruise director and cruise hostess Amanda Reid. Hope this all helps.

Welcome Capegirl! We were on the QM2 Dec 20, 2004 14 night Christmas/New Year's cruise. Great cruise, among the best for us. Santa Claus came on Xmas day and passed out cool presents to all the kids. They had the New Year's Eve parties at the Queen's Room, G22 disco and aft pool. Can I answer some of your questions?

Hi gang, here are some pictures from our recent Baltic cruise on the Constellation. We had wonderful time on and off the ship. http://community.webshots.com/user/brownbearcub [url=http://community.webshots.com/user/kooolkrooozer]http://community.webshots.com/user/kooolkrooozer

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. This is the third time we've booked the Constellation to the Baltics. The previous two times we cancelled because DW was not comfortable going overseas. Guess the third time is the charm! On a sad note, we had to put our pet hampster Hammy to sleep yesterday. Last week, the vet discovered a large tumor. We weren't sure if he would still be alive when we get back in three weeks. He was pretty much acting normal except running on the wheel. It was a very tough decision to make. Couldn't believe how much I've cried over him. He was the cutest, cuddliest and friendliest pet we could ever ask for. I'm breaking down now, so thanks for listening. Bye.

Again thanks to all for the well wishes. My wife was luckily able to switch her vacation to summer. We were able to take advantage of the compensation and booked the 6/18/05 14 day Constellation Baltics cruise. Since this is a longer cruise than what was offered by Celebrity, we negotiated and paid the difference. In all, we are happy and commend Celebrity for their generous offer and service.

Thanks all for the sympathies. We are not able find a replacement cruise for Easter so it will have to wait. We are getting a full refund and Celebrity's offer of a free cruise is generous. Not sure if we are able to utilize their offer though. Our vacation schedule is non flexible. Hope they fix these ships once and for all so others don't suffer the disappointment that we are enduring.

Got home from work yesterday and there was a message from my TA. Celebrity just cancelled our Easter March 27 Infinity Hawaii cruise! 4 days from sailing and BOOOOOOM! More bearing problems that require drydocking. Needless to say we are depressed. We were all packed and ready to sail. It's hard to describe our feelings. They are offering a free cruise as compensation, but I'm not sure we are flexible enough to take advantage of it. We didn't use our free cruise for the Millennium cancellation a few years ago. I feel sorry for my daughter, it was her Easter vacation and she has been looking forward to this trip. I don't know what else to say.........................................

Jeff, I was on the Diamond Princess Easter cruise and we had over 700 kids on board. I didn't run across them much either, I'd just stepped over them. LOL

Nice pictures! Isn't it great cruising during New Year's? Looks like you guys had fun. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, this doesn't sound good! Hopefully, all the bugs will be worked out for this new ship.
