Thats a tough one!!! theres really only a few options, you either cancel and put up with the loss (not my first choice!) wait and hope that you 2 have sorted your current differences out or at least can put up with each other whilst on holiday (you never know it might make you best mates again) or see if the travel company will allow 1 of the names on the tickets to be changed if you can find someone to buy the other passenger out? it really depends on how much your relationship has deteriorated since booking the holiday :undecided: Good luck with whatever happens and I hope you still get to go and have a great time.

Hi Karrie, My friend had cabin number 7204 on this exact ship last year and although she said she did feel "a bit" of movement she loved the cabin and wouldnt hesitate booking the same position cabin again due to the shape of the cabin being slightly angled at the front she said she felt as if she had a larger room - and great views!! The ship being 138,000 tons and quite modern should also help reduce the chance of feeling much movement so I, personally, would get that cabin if I could. I hope this helps  Karen.

What a great installment!!! I really enjoy reading these sea of memories. It's amazing to think you have followed the likes of Michelle Roux through their careers as the ships have changed and grown.

Carnival have told me they are updating their online booking system but, to date, I still cant book excursions (I thought that was because I am a UK resident at first!) They say that they will have spaces for their own excursions once you have boarded but its best to get to the booking desk asap. I have seen a few good comments on the Shoretrips.com people but I am sure one of the other CruiseCrazies members could give you more info about that? (I'm getting really excited now too as I fly over to Florida 3 weeks on tuesday    ) Hope this helps & that you have a FAB time!!

I have just had a look at our cruise booking system and that sailing has most cabin types still showing available to book including Inside cabins, Promonade Deck cabins, outside and Balcony cabins but it does look like all the Family suites/Cabins are already either sold out or on waitlist, so I would agree with all of the above that people are starting to book early but also sounds a little bit like a sales pitch!! - At least if you put a deposit on it you will have a booked cruise to look forward to!!!

We use the term PDA for Personal Digital Assistant I dont know how accurate that is but its the little hand held computors which are usually used for a computorized filofax which can also get web access/blue tooth/games ecte ct - I use my husbands just to play poker and Jawbreaker on whilst watching telly!!!

Thanks Jeff, We may decide to do the Mayan Temples in Belize or Cozumel (I know everyone say's Tulum is one of the best but we really want to go to Chankanaab Park whilst in Cozumel so undecided at the moment) :undecided: Have you done any onther excursions in Costa Maya, that you would recommend, if lv2cruise or myself decide against the Mayan Sites on this particular stop? Any further advice or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks Karen

Were on the Miracle the week after and are in the same boat (no pun intended) Carnival have several options listed including the usual snorkling and beach breaks but they also say we can do Kohunlich and Chacchoben Mayan ruins which I can't find anywhere that says if they are any good or not - compared to Cozumel and Belize excursions... sorry to jump onto LV2Cruise's original question but if anyone has been to Costa Maya at all could you let us know what you did and how you rated it???? Again sorry to lv2cruise and thanks to anyone who can help us out with this one. Karen x

Hi Cheryl, Sorry to hear you didnt get this weekends cruise. I have just checked my cruise system and there do seem to be quite a few 4A to 6A cabins left for the 3 night sailing on the 25th Feb but not much else either side of those grades, so you should get something but might only be an inside or ocean view. Keeping my fingers crossed for you (and anyway you will obviously have better weather next weekend than this so it worked out for the best - yes I am an optimist) Good Luck Karen

I will be in Cozumel on a Thursday in April - does anyone know what date the holiday falls on this year - the only information I can find all relates to the 5th May celebrations??

Hi Alyson, The Legend of the Seas comes back across the Atlantic in October and starts her 7 day itineraries from the 5th Nov'05 from Tampa just doing the Western Caribbean. She sails on the Sat, followed by a day at sea on Sun, Mon is at Gearge Town- Grand Cayman, Tue is Costa Maya - Mexico, Wed is Belize, Thurs is Cozumel, day at sea on Friday and back into Tampa Saturday morning. Even though Legend is one of the Vision class ships - being 70,000 tons, Royal Caribbean do still say it has the rock climbing wall and miniature golf course ect and will feature the Ocean youth facilities. If you get chance go to www.rccl.com and this will provide all the info you need about its facilities. I hope this helps  Karen

Thanks everyone - you have all been sooo helpful. I am now torn between seeing the ruins when in Cozumel (where the best ones appear to be) and seeing the Dolphins!!! - typical!!! Does anyone know if you can get to do a Dolphin encounter in Belize, Costa Maya or Grand Caymen instead of just in Cozumel?? I think Dolphins are Beautiful and intelligent and would kick myself if I didnt get an encounter whilst on this cruise - but then the reason we picked the Western Caribbean was because of the Mayan Ruins. :undecided:
-
Hi Jeff, Thanks for your advice. it does look impressive on the excursion information - it just clashes with the Dolphin encounter I wanted to do as well - I will have to have a look to see if there is any where else I could get to see the Dolphins?? Cheers Karen

Hi C21 Jim (and Ann) That would be great I will await any info you can provide. Hope you have a fab cruise - let me know what you think of the Veendam (if you dont mind). Karen

Hi jbond, Just emailed the address given - thanks for that, so hopefully you should have received the message. If you dont get an email from me could you post a reply to let me know? Oh and your right about the weather - my car is wearing his blanky tonight so it doesnt take as long to scrape off the ice in the morning!!!! Thanks Karen
-
No probs but thanks for replying!! Were just south of Preston, and will admitting we're Liverpool fans spoil any chance of future replies?? Cant wait til we fly over to Florida in March - soooo looking forward to seeing the Miracle in the flesh - only been on the ms Westerdam so far!

Just wondered if anyone could guide me to the best Mayan ruins out of the following itinerary? We are visiting Costa Maya, Cozumel & Belize and would like to see the "best" ruins? We are sailing with my 5 years old son but may consider leaving him in Camp Carnival for the day we do the ruins? - any advice on that matter also? The Miracle is offering Chacchoben or Kohunlich from Costa Maya and Altun Ha or Xunantunich from Belize (we ideally would like to go to Chankanaab in Cozumel to see the Dolphins ect so would prefer to do the Mayan ruins on one of the other days?) If there is anyone who has been to any of these I would appreciate your advice  Many thanks KarenUK - 65 sleeps til I fly out of wintery Lancashire!!
