Thats a bit wierd? I know we have seen a few reports about people that are worried about the Allied forces pulling out & leaving them to it like last time but I dont think an advert like that would work in the UK as we are far too sceptical & would just ignore it thinking it was our governments attempt to justify things???

I am a Travel Sales Consultant - which is the worst job ever as I get to send loads of people on holidays that I really really want to do!!!!!! :cheesy: I sell Middle East, Indian Ocean & Cruises so if they are not doing Dubai & the Maldives they are doing Alaska with Rocky Mountaineer ect ect DH is a Serive Engineer for a Vending firm. I would really like Joey's job best I think - it's what i'm working towards :grin:

I had to say go, but with anxienty as no matter how sure I was this wouldn't happen again I dont think I could board without the thought crossing my mind about the possibilities?

I love dressing up. I have to wear a really unflattering uniform every day I'm at work so any dinner occassion & especially the formal nights of a cruise make a great opportunity to dress up :grin:

Haha Byron - the second picture was a little clearer as to what the animal was :grin: We had several really good towel animals on the Miracle - The cabin steward used sun glasses, shoes ect to add the final touches. They were all soo good but for some reason i remember the frog the most?

SKAOLboy - Congratulations on getting your docs - doing the doc dance with you Hope your travel Agent clears up the Insurance & emergecy contact details (not that you will need either hopefully!! :grin: )

Dinner for me too :cool: - I do enjoy the fresh made pizzas but dont like buffets too much. Keith & Rita - love your gif by the way :grin:

Everyone has made valid points about this - the end result is that people are responsible for their own - or childrens - drinking. A cruise line cannot be held responsible for a few incidents involving drink - how many hotels get sued when drunken youths try jumping into pools from their balconies & miss or car hire compaies for when drunken people drive their hired scooters on holiday & crash?? they all result in people being hurt or killed & cause distress for others & I am sure cruise lines have less than average incidents compared to the hotels that attract young adults!

I would love to work on a cruise liner, I havn't a clue what I would like to do?? perhaps walking round all day making sure everyone is happy & enjoying themselves???

Hi Nevada - Welcome to Cruise Crazies, if you do decide to cruise you have definately joined the right forum!! I will just say that the Cruise we did on the Carnival Miracle proved to be great for the 3 of of us - although we hardly saw our son for the amount of time he spent in camp, we were with lots of other people on the excursions & we ate 6 out of the 7 nights in the main dining room, but I have not spent so much time with my husband since we got married than on the cruise - we did have a balcony though so that is a must for spending time in your own company. Hope all this helps & that you have some quality time together regardless of what you decide.

Congrats on the cruise booking - we are having a sneak away in August but only up to the Lake District (about 2 hour drive away) but it is beautiful up there & my sister, her hubby & 4 boys are joining us so should be a riot!! :grin:

Hi Joey, We were in Barcelona in November & wore short sleeved T-Shirts each day but have also had friends go at that time who said a few days were quite cool & had rain 1 day - I think if you take a few Sweatshirts & also a light rain coat just to be on the safe side?

Thanks Guy's - No unfortunatley I am not cruising this time it is just a week away for relaxing & not much else as we are having to seriously save for our next cruise (hopefully next spring) I will let you know what it was likle anyway in case anyone gets chance to cruise there in future :grin: See you all soon.
