  1. Thanks everyone. I work at a gas station in the town next to Foxboro Ma. where the N. E. Patriots play, so we get a lot of them coming into the shop. I guess if you're an A-list celeb you can afford to take a more exclusive vacation.

    Goodbye

 jbond, you guys have a great time. This is my dw's dream cruise.
  3. :cheesy: Auto-tipping is very convenient, but more importantly, it stops the passengers that "forgets" or "couldn't find the crew member" to tip them.
  4. I'm curious. Has anyone seen anybody famous on a cruise. Probably not A-list celebs, maybe local or sports celebs. Samantha Brown, Regis and Kelly, and Good Morning America don't count
  5. Ruby, welcome. I wish I was going. Maybe next year.
  6. 12 right and the extra rum for me. Not bad, but I think a couple more cruises are in order to improve my score.
  7. We were just there in October on NCL Majesty docked in St. George for 4 days. Beautiful old village to walk around and check out the shops and historical sights. You gotta check out the beaches up over the hill, they're great. Got a 2 day pass for the bus and ferry, well worth it. We went to the beaches around Hamilton and ,yes, we saw pink sand. Hamilton is a real city, who knew? lol. Took the ferry to Kings Wharf and went to Snorkel Beach, swam a little then went up stairs in the building there to Hammerheads Bar, overlooking the beach and ocean, had a few cold beers.... OMG i wish i was there now. You will love it.
  8. Spence, great link. Added to my favorites. Thanks. :cheesy:
  9. Congrats Hazelson. Now stop sleeping with the docs and start packing. $100 credit buys a lot of frozen fuzzy blue thingees. have one for us and have a great cruise.
  10. eagle forest, I've gone out of Bayonne twice, both times in the middle of summer. Last October 16 we left from Boston and it wasn't to bad. You might get a snow flurry, but no icebergs.
  11. Eagle Forest, we'll be on her 10/20 for 9 nights. I'll try not to leave a mess for you.
  12. I'd like to try the larger ship. More people, more parties, more room to roam and see the sights. 5400 pax might be to much, but I'd like to give it a shot.
  13. Way to go, Mebert. Keep those blues away and keep on cruisin'
  14. You can eat an incredible meal and go clubbing all night and not do dishes in between or worry about who's driving home.
  15. We've only been on 3 cruises, but I guess our 2nd on Voyager of the Seas with our two teen dd to western caribbean was our best. I'll never forget their faces at some of the sites. Here's to the search for a better cruise.
  16. Mebert, I think vac means vacation. I agree, Peddler, I.m in the caribbean, don't bother me.
  17. I would try the one you haven't done yet. Variety, spice of life, all that. Theres no such thing as a bad cruise, just somes better than others.

    PCD cured

:cheesy: :cheesy: Thanks Lisa. We're thinking snorkeling or turtle farm type of things. Have a great time on your cruise next month. What better time to get away from N. E.  Shari, we're not big on casinos but we like like the sound of touring Old San Juan.
  19.  Just 1, 10/20/06 Explorer of the Seas 9 night eastern caribbean, But it's enough to save my sanity.

    PCD cured

:cheesy: :cheesy: Thanks all. 2 cruises a year sounds like just the right dosage to me. Mebert, it's 9 nights roundtrip from Bayonne N.J. We've departed from there twice before on Voyager of the Seas, and it's gone very well.
  21.  I've had severe PCD since disembarking NCL Majesty in late Oct. I have now been cured. DW booked 9 night eastern Caribbean on Explorer of the Seas 10/20/06. I'm walking with a bounce in my step and a smile on my face again. Any tips on what to do in San Juan, Charlotte-Amalie, and Phillipsburg would be appreciated. I have to go figure out this countdown clock thing again.
  22. :undecided: :undecided: We took our 2 teen dd"s on Voyager of the Seas in June and I was a wreck worrying about them doing something stupid. After a month of lecturing before we left, I had to relax or ruin my cruise. It's a parents worst nightmare on a ship. I tried to get them to hang with dear old dad, but they weren't having it. Go figure.
  23.  I can't wait for the " lets put them on a cruise ship instead of a nursing home for the rest of their life" cruise. Still a few years away, though.
  24. :undecided: Maybe a mediteranean cruise on Voyager of the Seas when she goes over there. I'd love to see Italy and Greece. Or maybe Panama Canal. I guess I'll have to do both.
  25.  Welcome, queenofsky. I've been on VOS twice and been to Labadee, Ocho Rios, and Grand Cayman. You're in for the time of your lives. Labadee is a beautiful private beach with bars and a buffet. If you don't like to be pressured into buying something, just stay away from the vendors, they are confined to a certain area. You have to climb the Dunns River Falls in Jamaica, ( look out, more vendors. don't follow their signs to the parking lot). Stingray City in Grand Cayman is a must. dw and I loved it, DDs were terrorized. lol Vos is a big beautiful ship which I wish I could get on again, Maybe after she goes to the mediteranean. An italian cruise, maybe.
