The padded cabins are on crew level, they have a door that you can see through, I think it is called the Brig. And sometimes they will give you paper PJs :grin:

Ann I've been following your story from the begining and it is like something you read in a magazine, and you say to yourself there is no way that this could be real. No one person could have this much trouble. I think about when I booked our anniversery cruise, I did exactly what Joey said he does, all the research on line and such and booked direct. The airfare I did at a later date, the same way, except that when I booked it it was with US Air, a month after I had paid they filed for chapter 11 and there was a chance that they wouldn't fly after Jan 15 05 because of lack of federal funding. We were returning on Jan 16!! That was the only glitch, I almost want to break down and cry :cry: when I read your account. You should really document everything that you've done so far, maybe you could make some of your money back writting an article for one of those mags :grin: And for those drinks, better make it a double

And don't forget you did have some practice taking care of David recently after his surgery :grin: :grin:

This is kind of a bump, I know everyone is looking at this, and I really want it to be something special!! We now have 7 cabins booked, it was 8 but somewhere along the way we lost one couple. They just dissapeared into cyberspace, I guess that can happen, to make this work we need one more cabin(it will work no matter what, the bennies just aren't there otherwise) I will personally make sure that everyone has a good time or else :shocked: Okay it's a cruise of course a good time will be had by all, first 10 drinks are on me :grin:

Cheryl I think you are right, because everytime I check in there I'm the only one. But then again it is new and like anything else we are going to have to learn how to play with it!!!

Every time that I look at the meeting hall there are more and more cruises listed. There must be a lot members who like to read what is being posted here on this board because there are names there that I have never seen. Okay guys join in the fun!!!

I happened to see on JC Penney online store, 3 button Pierre Cardin tux jacket w/pants for $149, shirt, tie, and cumberbund was $30 more. I was figuring that if I just used it for cruises it would be worth the price as compared to renting on board.

Since I am a grey suit kind of guy, that means that I own one and it is good for weddings, furnerals(dark grey), graduations, special occassions. For formal nights, do you own your tux or do you rent it?

Joey are you sure that you are feeling better, the posts are lacking in something. Sue I totally agree with you, I feel the same about reviews on books and movies, critics are people too(and they don't always have the same taste as I do!!)

Welcome Mookster - As far as I know you buy the inexpensive walkie talkies just about anywhere for less than $20 each, seeing how you don't need the range. But if it's just you and the wife, I would just let her yell until you heard her :grin:

Gottacruz - The best way for you to find out about the Seamiles card is to go straight to their web site, I think that it is backed by Carnival because you get double miles when using it for them. But they do have all the other cruise lines on their redemtion site. I was tell gymbrat that since I use the card to pay for everything that I would have paid with my debit card, then transfer the money from bank on the day it is due. I have yet to pay 1 cent of interest.

Gymbrat - Haven't seen you in awhile. Did you ever get you Seamiles card? Since we use ours to pay for business expenses and such we are up to just under 20,000 :grin: Free cruise coming up soon!!!

Cheryl I agree with you on this one 100%, not to be negative to a fellow cruise crazie but why would you want to come to this board and post? From everything that I've seen the people who post here are friendly and outgoing, talkative, we are a small community. If ABoatnerd is not a social type person why come to this board at all? For the interaction? For you Aboatnerd join the human race, we aren't all that bad!!!! And sometimes we like to have fun.

You said it Cruisemama, if I want to nitpik the service, the food, and or everything else I could stay at home. Yes it is nice to know there is someone out there who would like to spend their vacation making people who work in the service industry miserible, I just hope that they hold their proffession to the same high standards. No sub par performence for them.

They have gyms on Cruise ships? The most exercise I get is going for seconds and more at the buffet. :grin: :grin:

We get ours for free also, but that is because Karen has a small retail store that sells mags and newspapers on the side.
