  1. Welcome back boba, tell us all about it, any special places that you would recomend? We will be there in April!
  2. Joey - Thought that this might be the last post for you till you return, so take care and have fun and relax. We'll be here when you get back so BON VOYAGE!!!!!
  3. Happy Birthday David - enjoy your cruise and keep an eye out for Joey as he has had a hard week or so worrying himself into a frenzy.
  4. dennistomlin - Welcome to Cruisecrazies, I don't have any more say than what has already been said, just keep posting and reading the other posts. You'll find answers to questions that you never thought of, and when you get back from your cruise you'll be able to tell the rest of us what you thought about the whole adventure and where you are planning on going next!!!
  5. By now you have gone through the whole range of emotions, except the delite of boarding and relaxing. I'm sure that all of your bags are packed so sit down take a valium(just kidding, say no to drugs!!) and wait to go to the airport. If I don't get a chance I'll say it here, Bon Voyage Joey and David, have a safe and wonderful trip. Enjoy yourselves and relax and forget about the the world for a week. When you come back you can tell us what a fantastic trip that you had and show us all the pictures that you took!!!
  6. Okay you can scream, but then just sit down and relax after you are done. What is the most common advise that is given here on this board, and I know that you have said it more than once yourself, calm down everything will be alright!!! I know that you are getting very close to leaving so start contacting the powers that be and try to stay informed, everything will work out and you are not the only one. By the way I want to take lots of pictures and take very good notes as Karen and I are thinking about doing this area in 07', it is still on the burner and is being discussed along with one or two others. ps if you want I will trade some snow for the sunshine
  7. Someday I'll show you my dragon tatoo and that will really slay you
  8. Okay you can think about us but don't let it interupt any of the good times that you may be having!! How about this, we'll let you dream about us that way it won't take up any waking time
  9. No need to apologize for the game or Vinney, if nothing else they could be in line for a first round draft pick next year. There is a promising QB at USC right now, hey you never know! The wife and I spent a week in your neck of the woods 3 yrs ago for our anniversery, January no less, cold but fun. It was what inspired us to go on a cruise for our 25th, warm weather in the winter
  10. Nothing wrong with being a little selfish, it is your vacation, it's just too bad that the bad weather has to spoil the anticipation of your upcoming trip!
  11. Hoo-ray Hoo-ray what a day  Just hope that Wilma doesn't affect your plans!!!
  12. Skoalboy welcome aboard from a fellow NYer, saw your posts about border crossings and customs agents, we live on the eastern side of the state and close to Canada also. I'm sure that you have been keeping up with the passport requirements, now not due to go into effect until Jan of 2007!
  13. Experiences of a lifetime to say the least, one of the small favors Uncle Sam did for us, Fun Travel and Adventure! We spent most of our time in the interior with a few side trips to Anchorage and Valdez.
  14. sewut51 what part of Alaska did you live in, my wife and I were stationed at Ft Greely, just outside of Delta Jct for 3 1/2 years. Didn't want to leave but with the military you can normally just stay so long!!!
  15. The way I do things that would be late, we are still 180+ days out and I've already done that  I guess that I'm very thorough!!!!
  16. Ann we did the long ruins tour when we were there, actually planned most of the cruise around seeing ruins, and it was worth it. What a fantastic place. Any specifics on the tour itself just ask!!!
  17. Cheryl - I believe that the reason for the lack of unpleasantness is that we only have the most pleasant people sign on to this board. And I'm sure that everyone here will agree with me if not they can just leave
  18. Boba, Bon Voyage and have a great birthday!!!
  19. I'll have to agree with Joey, well said!!!
  20. Okay Joey on the light side, first you get in the water put on the mask and put the snorkle in your mouth and breath. If you taste saltwater come to the surface you've gone too deep! But maybe someone with some experience can really help you. ps I don't think you have to worry about a Jaws type experience.
  21. Welcome Crusie, glad to see that you made it here!!!!
  22. As far as I know Carnival is the only one right now offering a military discount to all veterans. The amount of the discount varies with the cruise and should be taken advantage of as soon as it is offered because they will discontinue it if the ship starts to fill. On our cruise on the Valor we were given $200 pp off. Well worth the effort to send them the paperwork that is needed. From what they told me once they have the paperwork they will keep it on file for the future!!!
  23. Luck has everything to do with it, you just have to believe in it!!! Thought that you would appreciate that I saved my 500th for you Joey, now don't you feel lucky:grin:
  24. Curmar1 welcome to Cruise Crazies, our first cruise was for our 25th and we were planning our second before we disembarked  We are like Joey, plan far in advance and do as much research as possible, it really is the best part. Just keep asking questions here, you will always get an answer!!!!
