I search on line with various agencies. I post on several other boards and have been known to post a thread to see if anyone has used a specific TA. Theres so many TA's out there but I spend several housrs of research until I am happy with the price. Once I have done that I refuse to look at any other TA's so I will not be upset if I find a better deal. I do not know the rules on this board as to what I can post. Not sure if I can post some names of TA's on here or not and I do not want to do anything against the rules. You can PM or email JDIddy. He is a TA in Florida. You might want to be specific in the subject line though.

I used cooked ham from the deli at the grocery store. I also used a mix of mild and sharp cheese. It was so good!!

I drink coffee with lots of Carb Montior Coffee Mate. LOL I love to make Chai Tea and then put the Vanilla Coffee Mate in it. Makes it like a Chai Latte from Starbucks and all it cost me was the cost of a box of the Chai Tea and a container of the Coffee Mate. Tammy this is so good. Jeff and I have ate a little more than half of a 9 inch pie plate by ourselves. We also made that Dang Irish Cream Pound Cake last night. I ate a huge slice of it was still warm and almost made myself sick. LOL I did it on purpose so I will not want anymore of it!! I am a firm beleiver in eating what you want when you want it or you will just eat everything else and then in the end you will still eat what you wanted in the first place. Waste too much fat intake and calories that way. I really need to get motivated but I do not want to do a thing. But that tree must come down. My trash must go out and the laundry must get done. So while I have been on vacation I have still cleaned my house just not cooked. LOL I love to cook but for some reason I have not had any desire to do so lately. Well it is back to the gym tomorrow morning prior to work. They open at 7 and I have to be at work at 7:30. Needless to say I am late 3 days a week but that is ok because they allow me to work to make up the difference. Our new prinicpal firmly believes in as long as I work my 40 hours a week he is fine with it all. Thank goodness for him. Ok I am going to have to shut this computer down in order to get anything done today. I am making the traditonal southern fare today. Pork Roast, black eye peas, greens and cabbage.

Yeah I am going to start tomorrow as well.

I can not hope for snow days. If we get more than two I am in trouble. LOL That means I have to take time off in April for the cruise. If we only get one more day that means I am safe. I have the time but I just do not want to hear certain peoples mouths that I work with about booking a vacation during this time. I work with a bunch of busy bodies that need to get a life. We did get a new principal this year and a new lead secretary and neither one of them care as long as I do my job. In which I am great at!!!

Joe is always honest and will help you out with any question. He did not book my FOS Diddyville cruise but when I was jealous that most of the diddies were on deck 8, we have two rooms booked on deck 6. One for the kids a PR and another for us across the hall in a balcony. Joe instantly found two rooms on deck 8 that would work for me and I called my TA and had her change it. All it cost was about $30 more for an upgraded cabin level.

That just means you have to have a party in your cabin. You do know that right and you get to foot the bill too.

I am curious to know who this all works out for you. I am sure they will do everything they can to make your dreams come true. But are you sure you want to have a table for 2? I mean I know after 35 years you still are enjoying one another but would it not be great to have company or at least for the second leg of your cruise. I would get lonely with us Jeff and myself at a table. Plus I find you normally have a much better time if you are at a large table. The interaction seems to help your servers to give you better treatment.

Anniversary cruises are always wonderful. Now when do you go?

How did you sneak your alcohol on? You started this thread in October so I am guessing you are back. Term I did not know you should take it on a carry on. I am so learning all of this. On DCL you can take whatever you want and not hide it.

Just to let you know JDiddy knows what he is talking about he does this for a living. If you are not scared of hurricanes go in this season. Most cruise lines will redirect you because of a hurricane and you do not loss a lot beside where you might embark at and your ports. So if you do not care where you visit then you are pretty safe. However due to your initial post I am taking you do care. But remember you do not have to spend alot at port. Especially if you save money on the cruise. If you are redirected to leave from another port the Cruise line will provide transportation to that port. At most you might be shortened. We have always cruised in hurricane season. Our first cruise was in August and it was our earliest in the year cruise. I love OCtober because the areas you go to are not nearly as hot in the fall. Our first cruise we left just hours out of Miami before Andrew hit. The only thing it did to our cruise was we had to go backwards and we missed NCL's private island. We have sailed in inside, porthole and balcony staterooms. I really do not care if it is a balcony or not but my family loves the balcony. I would rather save the money on a different cabin and use that money on the cruise.

You should consider our Diddyville cruise in November on the Freedom. I promise you with our bunch you will have either the best time of your life or you will be seen running away on water in great terror.

Ok, I have had 4 views but none of you posted. You can post to just say hi too.

Yeah Tammy I have to go back to work tomorrow. Doesn't that suck!! Jeff has this thing that when he is off it is called vacation. So last week everytime he said something about me cooking, I told him I was on vacation and I do not do anything while on vacation. Now he has said this for years but I have never played it back on him. LOL After I said this he tried to say he was on vacation and I told him the weekend is not vacation and he said but I am off Monday (tomorrow) and I told him then his vacation will start Monday. LOL SO he has been doing most of the cooking for about a week now. I am so bad. I just have been so lazy all week so I am really dreading going back to work tomorrow. We start testing again in Feb and that is the worst month of our testing except for the end of the year EOC's.

HI I am just going back and reading some posts and ran across yours. Yes some of the ports you visit are very educational. It is heart breaking at times. I hate to say this and I do hope everyone understands how I mean this, but I love for my kids to go with us and see first hand the proverty of various areas. This is educational for them to see how very lucky they are to have the (too) many things they do have. I have only been to Jamaica once and that was on our first cruise in 1992. Jeff wanted to go so that is why we decided on this cruise. I think he was surprised. Recently he had a cousin to live there for about two years. She was able to live in the lap of luxuzy the entire time she was there. Her children attended private school, the had a housekeeper, and a nanny. But she was so ready to come home although he life is much less pampered now. Cruising can be expensive. It really depends on what you want to spend. I hate you had to find out the hard way on the expense of the trip. I hope you were prepared for it. Jeff and myself tend to go on several vacations a year. Some are all inclusive and others are cruises. While we love going to an island the cruises ae our favorite. We love the way you are taken care of and all the activities. I love the way I am pampered on a cruise. For me this is the ultimate vacation.

NYCruiser, Barb, and me are all going on the Enchantment in April. I know the ship was stretched last year. (LOL, I can say that now since it is 2006). Has anyone been on her since the dry docking? Just curious to a your thoughts and possible review.

If Jeff had coem out with a huge bill like that I would have told him he was nuts and he should return it.

Oh Mary what a story. Thank God you are all ok. I know you were scared. And yes it was real faith that allowed you to get back on that next plane. I am so glad you and your husband made it home safely.

Double embarkment what a pain. What ports were considered embarkments?
-
OH I have to find your review now and read it. I love the way you were able to put a deposit now. Great idea.
-
I think this cruise would be wonderful but I am a little scared of it too. I have to agree somewhat with Mary here.
-
Have a wonderful cruise.
-
Mary I have always wanted to do this. Please let me know how you enjoy it. Term NO that does not count. LOL Janet I am thinking a 7 day cruise without hubby and kids. What do you think? Sha, I have not asked, but ... what all are you doing once you get there??
