I'm with those that would ignore something that has no effect on others, and would find security personnel for something more serious.

Keith -- I love the elevator story. Thumbs up!

If adults were involved , I don't think I would say anything. If I saw that someone could get hurt, I would report it.

However, I have, on occasion, said something to unruly kids that were loud in the hallways when we were trying to sleep. I've found that if I say it nicely, they usually listen the first time. If they ignored me after a couple of times, I might call someone.

Good topic, JoeyandDavid.

Good for you, Keith and Rita. alt text

Well for me or Annie since we are both in Law Enforcement We have a duty to act in Life threatening situations  But Ill try and answer to the best of my ability  It depends on what is going on,if someones being frisky,a danger to themselves or someone else then on the two most dangerous things I would intervene until Security could be contacted and to get to the scene,on minor things if no one else is complaining then let the situation take care of itself, we are on Vacation not On Duty  Just like when Im home and not working I let the Locals handle Minor things thats not a Danger to anyone else! On the Hot tub topic if I was around the Hot Tub or in it I would calmly say! Is there room for a Threesome! And I guarantee that they would probably skeedaddle back to their own Cabin!LOL! It sure would get their attention! HUH!

Great question but a wee bit difficult to answer due to the multitude of possible scenarios. I mean what really constitutes inappropiateness? .Physical assault-definate reason to contact the ship's staff. Indecent exposure-same thing. However things like drunkenness, swearing, abusing verbally other people may be dealt with on a one on one encounter or ignored. I think more security personnel on board seen frequently around the ship might curb a lot of obnoxiosness.

Regards,

James.

 Agree with elfed. Its hard to say really w/o being specific. If harm or danger became the issue on has to act. Then at least call ships personnel. If its an annoyance but not harmful then I'd let it go. I can't expect people to act in the way I prefer but if the situation gets loud, aggresive or threatening in any way then you can't ignore that.
