jacketwatch
 The first thing is to check the balcony. Then I like to unpack and get this over with asap. Then like land vacations I check out the "grounds" so to speak. So I explore the ship to see check out where everything is. My wife is usually napping while I do this. I return with tea or coffee for us, we relax on the balcony and then we both check the ship out.
Suzila
We go right to our cabin, drop our carry-ons off, and start looking around the ship.
matchstickxx
After squeezing past those who stop 3 feet inside the lobby door to ogle the atrium....  we head for our cabin. After checking out our cabin and balcony, if we are hungry we head for the buffet. Otherwise, we unpack our carry-on bags before heading out to explore the ship. After the muster drill we grab a drink and head up to the Lido deck for sail away.
Suzila
It really doesn't matter if we're hungry or not...we head for the buffet and start eating anyway! LOL!
Shari2
We do pretty much the same as others. We stop at our cabin first and drop off our carry-ons and then explore the ship, check out our dining room table and grab a bite to eat and a drink for sailaway. In between there somewhere is the lifeboat drill. It's been a year and a half since our last cruise...I think we are getting ready to think about another. Hubby wants to do a Southern Caribbean, so we may think about a 10-day or so Southern Caribbean cruise this winter.
JohnG
For us, because our dining table is important to us, we drop our things in the cabin, then head to the dining room to check on our table. If it's not right, we go see the Maitre D' to get it changed. Then tour the ship and stop for lunch in the Lido. Back to the cabin to unpack the bags, which just arrived, and finish before the boat drill.
Love2Travel
drop off our bags, if lucky enough that lugggage is there, we unpack and then explore!
zebra
Yes we like to unpack before the drill - so that when the drill is over we are entirely in "relax" mode.
