Suzila
For us, it's itinerary... WHERE DO WE WANT TO GO?????
CaroleB
Couldn't care less about the itinerary but price and time frame. I have LOTS of days off but need to coordinate with my honey. The ship can go out turn around in large circles and go back to port after 7 days and that would be fine with us!! Don't get me wrong, we love the adventure of seeing new places, it just isn't a considering factor at all for us though. If we don't like one of the ports, we will just stay on the ship for that day. Sint Maartin is one of the ports we don't like. Been there twice, both sides of the island...and wouldn't step foot on it again...we consider that a SEA day!! So even if the ship had that stop in the intinerary, we would still book it. For us it is all about the SEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When thinking about booking a cruise...What's the most important aspect to consider for you and your family.. I do realize many factors go into making a decision.. I am looking for the NUMBER 1 reason you book the cruise..
RNSANE
For me, price is the biggest consideration. I am on a strict budget since it's just me paying for it all and my income depends on call, etc. I prefer Royal Caribbean and will rarely consider any other cruise line. As for itinerary, I've actually been just about everywhere, between air travel and my 77 cruises so that isn't even of the greatest importance. It's more about who will be going along, what crew friends might be on the ship, etc.
PATJUD
ITINERARY That's the most important thing to me - where we are going. I don't like to constantly repeat the same places and that happens with a lot of the Caribbean cruises. Every cruise planned for 2009 by the group that we usually cruise with, goes to places that we have already been. That is why I was so HAPPY to discover the CRUISECRAZIES November 2009 "Constallation" cruise to the Caribbean - more than half of the ports are new places - YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! DebbieandJerry
All of the "options" are important factors for us which makes this a very hard question to answer. We factor in price/itinerary/length of cruise and cruiseline. Then we "worry" about time of year.
lashl
It always starts with the intinerary, however, the other things you listed have importantce also.
boba
I voted itinerary, but price is a close 2nd.
mercedes
The itinerary is the most important consideration for us.
Joanandjoe
See the article on the Cruise Crazies front page about how, for UK travelers, 48% thought itinerary was most important.
MarcyandJames
Everything is important to us, but I think we start with itinerary and price. But we usually end up going for best price if it's someplace we want to go. Cruise line is also important.
