Peldor - firstly Welcome to Cruise Crazies, dont hesitate to jump on & ask any question you fell you may be able to get help with & secondly CONGRATULATIONS on your impending wedding & cruise!! We paid for a soda card for our son & used it once!! the juice we got at breakfast & on lido deck at lunch & the jugs of juice they had in Camp Carnival meant we never had to use the card & all our drinks probably would have come to a similar amount as pre paying anyway (I dont think the bottles of wine we had every night would have been included somehow!!) haha We didn't get a daily itinerary of what shows/competitions ect were on each day until the day before, once actually on board the ship, so I dont think they would publish a set itinerary of daily activities in advance as far as I know? I dont know if pre booking spa treatmants would be best as you may get a cheaper deal once on board as they do "sea day specials" or "port day specials" so I just picked a day & got myself booked in when I saw a deal I liked the look of. The extra's we ended up with were the excursions, the drinks, the spa, the casino & duty free our tips were pre-paid so we didn't have worries where that was concerned. I would say pick your excursions carefully as they really could help make your honeymoon. The excursions we took are some of the highlights of our whole trip so defo pick what you want to do before you travel & make it something you will both like & enjoy & that is the only thing I would say would be an important part of any cruise for me. Hope this helps

Chasbos, thanks for taking the time to post the review. I have heard some similar things of some of Carnival's older ships and am sorry it wasn't a fabulous experience & glad it hasn't put you off cruising. I must just say though, like hotel groups - you cant compare a 20 year old 4 star resort with a brand new 4 star superior as it is a totally different experience. The Miracle also sailed from Tampa & although the port isn't the best we didn't have much trouble embarking & the Miracle was a very nice ship. I think sticking to the newer ships may suit you more in future and hopefully provide the service you expect & deserve???

Thanks alot for the post - it made for interesting reading.

Again.. great pictures! The Pride just looks like the Miracle & I so want to do a Mexican Riviera Cruise - must say thought the lazy geese did look alittle bit like swans though lol

I agree with Lisa with thoughts to the family & also about how many go from hotels. We get alot of late teens going on hols to the Spanish & Greek islands & there is always someone who has heard of someone either falling off balconies, trying to dive into the swimming pools from their rooms or renting out scooters with dire consequences so I think being on a ship is just the same - you have to trust they will behave apropriately & worry the same as you would if they went on any "normal" holiday.

Thanks alot for the review, I enjoyed reading it

Hazelson, Its great looking forward to your day trips, we pre-booked a couple of excursions & it helped the anticipation. Will you do us a favour & let us know what Chankanaab Park is like after the damage (if you dont visit it could you just ask someone please?) Thanks Karen

Hi Ann, I have only sailed on the Miracle & visited 2 x HAL ships so cannot really compare lots of different ships, one of my colleagues, however, has worked for both RCCL & CCL and has stated that RCCL were a tad more refined but that Carnival do seem to be doing their upmost to upgrade the "feel" of the quality on board for example by removing adverts for things onboard from around the ship & taking away the tables from in front of the shops which have, previously, made the shop areas look a little clutterred or messy. I can agree that the food on the Miracle was well presented and of a very good quality and had a really good experience overall. I think you would probably enjoy Carnival if you enjoyed RCCL however if your a Cunard/Silver Seas fan I dont think it would be for you haha. Karen

Hi JbCruisers, Welcome to Cruise Crazies. I was on the Miracle (she is a lovely ship) in April & did those ports. Belize was a tender so shouldn't be effected, we didn't get to do Cozumel as it was too rough to dock but I know the pier at Cozumel was damaged but the ships reverted to doing tenders there also. If you want to know any info about the Miracle let me know. Karen

Welcome home Rose, hope you had a great trip & Happy New year to you too

Welcome to Cruise Crazies Shipahoy!! I have heard not too impressive things about Costa as well - one of the annoying things was every single announcement was given in about 3 different languages!! I dont think I will be offering them my hard earned money until I hear much better reviews about them!
-
Bon Voyage Jtutak - Hope you have a great cruise & Merry Christmas
-
Hiya Kruz, I find most of the Cruise Lines own web sites can usually show what cabins are available once your found which sailing your interested in. Once you've found which catagories are available you should then be able to shop around to get the best price on the grade you want??

Hi Cary177 - Welcome home (back to luxury) Glad you liked the Navigator. I agree its hard to justify our standard of living when so many people seem worse off - but then ask yourself who is the happier person & I bet it would be a close call... Hope you get chance to do a review if not hope to still see you posting regularly
-
Dacsmom, firstly WELCOME to Cruise Carzies I havn't been to the Radisson in Fort Lauderdale but the Radissons I have been fortunate enough to stay in have all been quite good standard. Have you had a look on trip advisor to see if any reviews have been posted??
